Subject Topic: Our World
Art/D&T Food printing
Use the basic principles of a healthy and varied diet to prepare dishes.
Computing Basic Skills incuding: Mouse control, typing, double clicking, click and drag and using basic controls (control things on screen – arrows)
English Stories in familiar settings (4 weeks), Instructions (2 weeks) and Poems (Christmas 2 weeks)
Children will be learning:
-Punctuation (capital letters, full stops, finger spaces)
- Applying phonics knowledge in reading and writing
- Practising cursive writing
- To be able to answer comprehension questions about stories.
- Rhyming words

The children will be:
- Re-writing stories
- Creating their own stories
- Acrostic poems
- Rhyming couplets
Geography Use vocabulary to refer to: Key human features – City, town, village, factory, farm, house…
Use simple fieldwork and observational skills to study the geography of their school and its grounds and physical features of its surrounding environment.
Use aerial photographs and plan perspectives to recognise landmarks and human and physical features
